HDMA members went to Capitol Hill on February 5 to educate members of Congress on the role of pharmaceutical distributors in combatting prescription drug abuse. Participants of HDMA’s 2014 Hill Day shared with legislators and staff that HDMA and its primary pharmaceutical distributor members are committed to being part of the solution and working collaboratively to address the country’s prescription drug abuse epidemic. Participants included:
- Smith Drug Company’s Ken Couch, President; and, Brad Pine, Senior Director of Compliance and Regulatory Supply;
- Meg Glazier, Compliance and Regulatory Officer, Burlington Drug Company; and,
- AmerisourceBergen Corporation’s Chris Zimmerman, Vice President of Corporate Security and Regulatory Affairs.
