Wade is a proud long-term employee of Smith Drug Company. He has served many roles with us, the most recent being Vice President, Operations and Customer Service. He believes in our customers and employees and is committed to doing all he can to help them both excel.

A native of Arkansas, Wade served our country as a U.S. Military Officer prior to his career in distribution management. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Arkansas State University and enjoys working with a variety of charitable organizations focused on children and animals.

A South Carolina native, Rob Barrett received his B.A. in History from Wofford College, then attended Wake Forest University School of Law for his J.D. Prior to joining J M Smith, Rob served as the managing shareholder at Holcombe Bomar, P.A., a position he accepted following his service as Vice President and Assistant General Counsel for Denny's, Inc., based in Spartanburg, S.C.

Rob brings to J M Smith Corporation a wealth of legal expertise, with a special focus on corporate, business and employment law. Rob currently serves on the Board of Directors of the United Way of the Piedmont and is a past member of the Board of Directors of the Terrier Club at Wofford College. He lives with his wife Angela in Duncan, S.C. In his free time, Rob enjoys cooking, playing golf and keeping up with his four children.

DeWayne Benson has been working in the pharmaceutical industry for over 35 years, with most of those years in the pharmaceutical wholesaling industry. DeWayne understands both the pharmacy's and the wholesaler's perspectives as he has worked in a pharmacy as well as in numerous roles with pharmaceutical wholesalers. His professional pharmacy wholesaling experience includes warehousing, purchasing, marketing, sales, and regional sales management. DeWayne brings this experience to his role as Vice President Sales, leading our team of Pharmacy Business Consultants and providing unmatched expertise to our loyal customers.

DeWayne is active in leadership roles within his church and loves to play basketball, softball and tennis whenever he can make the time.

When not planning employee appreciation events here at Smith Drug, Kim can be found working with several community outreach programs.

Jim has more than 30 years of expertise in our industry, including sales, management, distribution and purchasing. Jim joined Smith Drug in 2008 as the Director of Purchasing and is committed to making sure our customers have access to the inventory they need to care for their patients. An avid Gamecock, he is an alumnus of the University of South Carolina who enjoys spending time with his family, reading and fishing.

Throughout his thirty-year career in healthcare distribution, Brian has held various roles in distribution operations and information technology. As a leader in information technology, he builds technical teams and processes to align with business objectives of serving customers, streamlining operations, and driving growth. Brian collaborates closely with organizational leaders to ensure technology initiatives are purposeful, scalable, and grounded in operational practices. Brian holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and, outside of work, enjoys golf, fishing, and woodworking.
